As Vista Allegre is an urbanization, the building regulations allow a higher percentage of the plot to be constructed. This is like other areas close to Ibiza Town and Roca Lisa making it popular for clients wishing to secure a large property without being “in the middle of nowhere”.

AVAILABILITY

Availability in Es Cubells itself can be difficult as the homes tend to be located in the foothills or meticulously positioned on the remarkable coastline. The geography of Es Cubells means that there is not a lot of available rental properties.

Vista Allegre has more available homes for rent in the summer season. The homes are popular for those that are looking for security, sea views and modern properties. Vista Allegre is a short drive to Cala Jondal and therefore popular for those planning on enjoying the best quality that Ibiza can offer. Vista Allegre is an urbanization so clients will be in a residential environment and not a suitable location for party groups.

BEACH LIFE

The steep cliffs and clear seas make this part of the coast a secret beach lovers paradise. Sa Caixota is a secluded beach is sheer bliss. The beach has a rocky shoreline which gives way to a small strip of golden sand that is large enough for a handful of people to enjoy which is all you are likely to see here. is pebbly and blue, and the beach café nearby is usually packed by midday. Because of this, it is better to arrive there early to get the finest seats and view. The tranquility of this beach is enhanced by the presence of a few fishermen’s cottages near the beach’s western end.

Following the road, you’ll arrive at Ses Boques beach, which has one of the finest chinguitos on Ibiza. Another favorite is Cala Llentrisca, a beach cove of perfect symmetry, excellent snorkeling, and clear water. Accessed via a ten-minute walk, this quiet beach looks back to Salinas and enjoys full sunshine until late in the day.

WHERE CHEFS EAT

Ses Boques is one of the well-known dining places in Es Cubells, specializing in salt-crusted cod, lobster paella and mouthwatering grilled meat. A magical place right on the beach with excellent food. Islander tip for those exploring this part of the coast on boat, is that Ses Boques has a tender and can deliver their incredible food to be enjoyed offshore, ideally on the fly deck of you’re the wonderful 100ft Maiori, Lady KC.

Bar Llumbi has far reaching views down the coast, over the sea and adjacent to the Church. The menu is not adventurous but the view is sensational. Bar Restaurant Es Cubells, also next to the Church but without the sea view, is famous for serving Mediterranean cuisine. Los Pinos is situated as you wind your way done to the shoreline and somewhat of an institution for residents.

Bar Can Mestre is a place that is easy to drive past and not at all fancy, but the food is excellent and without the premium prices. In the quieter months they have a menu del día and Thursday is Paella Day. This is also the best supermarket around this area, well stocked with produce from the UK, Germany, and Holland. Amongst these perennial favorites is Es Xarco which has moved from its sea front location to set up shop in the hamlet of Es Cubells. Opposite the Church it does not have a view but many loyal customers of the Chiringuito will eagerly return to this perineal favorite.
